Getting started

After installing, open the App in your Shopify admin and follow the setup guide: connect your Moneybird administration, then map your bookkeeping posts (revenue, shipping, discount) and VAT rates. The App suggests likely matches from your Moneybird administration — review and save them.

Frequently asked questions

Which orders are synced?

Paid Shopify orders are turned into invoices in Moneybird, based on the sync trigger you choose. Test orders and point-of-sale orders can be included or excluded in Settings.

Will it create duplicate invoices?

No. Each order is synced once; the App keeps track of which orders have already been booked.

What about Shopify Payments payouts?

The App reconciles each payout — including transaction fees, refunds, and chargebacks — against your bank deposit using a clearing account, so your bookkeeping balances.

A sync failed — what now?

Failed syncs are retried automatically and flagged on the sync status page, where you can also retry them manually. You can enable email notifications for failures in Settings.

Can I import past orders?

Yes. Use the history import to sync earlier orders over any period you choose.

How do I disconnect?

Uninstall the App from your Shopify admin. We then stop processing and remove your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
